From Prison to Peru: A White Girl’s Journey Home

Written and Performed by Suraya Susana KeatingCalifornia

drama, storytelling, movement, 50 min.

This agonizingly candid and inspiring solo performance follows Suraya through her most painful experiences teaching drama in prison as she explores Shamanism in an effort to find a “home” in the world. Suraya navigates a swamp of sorrow and deceptions—coping with death and becoming romantically inolved with a drug addict—yet reaims inspired all the while by promise and possibility.
