Macbeth in the Kitchen

Adapted and Performed by Simge GünsanTurkey

Wed 11/12 7:30pm

comedy, tragedy, puppetry, 50 min.

This play is indeed, to quote Shakespeare himself, “a tale told by an idiot.” A self-proclaimed idiot, that is. The setting of this play is really a kitchen! The characters are utensils and ingredients used in preparing the Turkish dish menemen, a traditional omelette. And it tastes as good as the play does. Recommended for: teenagers, adults, theatre community, ethnic community (Turkish). Links: show, video.
