16th-Century Spain: a golden world fearfully led by the patriarchy, religion, and the state. Prince Carlos’ deformities, personality anomalies, and sexual deviancies deem him unfit to rule; he is different and therefore immoral. The royal court would ensure that Carlos will never rule the mighty kingdom of Spain. Should Don Carlos embrace his sentence, or fight for his truths? Recommended for: adults only (not suitable for children), theatre community, LGBTQ community, Hispanic/Latino community, history buffs, historians, Spanish golden age fans. Links: show, facebook, instagram.
