A bold, no-holds-barred dark comedy about trauma and recovery, Closed Eyes Parted Lips is a brave and at times hilarious account of one man’s struggle to navigate his own PTSD as a result of childhood sexual abuse. With unflinching honesty and unexpected humor, he invites an audience on a journey from the Deep South to the streets of New York, into a world of flashbacks, panic attacks, support groups, and animal hoarding. A piece as funny as it is brave, Closed Eyes Parted Lips is a meditation on memory, survival, and the universal impulse to heal. Recommended for: theatre community.
