drama, comedy, storytelling, 60 min.

One young Jamaican girl’s compelling story of growing up in a crime ridden war torn neighborhood where she literally had to step over dead bodies and live with the fear of being raped on her way to school everyday. The story of how she survived, and emigrated to America is inspiring. From a Yardie to a Yankee is a tale everyone can identify with. Director: Gregory Marquette. Recommended for:  adults, elderly, theatre community, ethnic community (Caribbean). Links: artist, video, facebook.
