Kafka’s A HUNGER ARTIST Sold Out

Performed by Jonathan Isadore LevinNew York

Sat 11/5 7:30pm

drama, comedy, movement, puppetry, 50 min.

With nothing but a deceptively normal trunk, the once great Impresario resurrects the spectacle of the Hunger Artist, whose notorious act consisted entirely of public starvation. Clowning and puppetry adorn this physical-theatre portrayal of Kafka’s once world-famous performer, who, increasingly marginalized by society, is completely forgotten when someone asks, “Are you still hungering? When are you going to stop…?” Director: Joshua William Gelb. Additional Text: Josh Luxenberg. Costume/Set Design: Peiyi Wong. Puppet Design: Charlie Kanev. Show image by Rachael Shane. Recommended for: teenagers, adults, theatre community. Link: related.
