A Master Class with Janis Brenner

United Solo will host Janis Brenner, known worldwide as a “quadruple threat” — a dancer, choreographer, vocalist, and teacher — who has toured in 36 countries, teaches at The Juilliard School, and is the winner of the award for Best Choreography at the 2017 United Solo Festival for Eva Petric’s “Eden, transplanted.” Open to all participants regardless of experience, this Master Class will explore the process of integrating movement, voice, breath, and character into the full range of expressiveness using structured improvisation. The Master Class will take place on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6PM-8PM at Theatre Row, New York City. All ages and levels of theatrical experience encouraged. A Master Class with Austin Pendleton, Encore!

Austin Pendleton will return to the studio at Theatre Row, NYC, to teach his third Master Class at the United Solo Professional Training Program! Participants will be coached on speeches and scenes. All participants are invited to become members of the United Solo community and receive training that will benefit them throughout their careers. After working with and being recommended by Mr. Pendleton, many artists are given the opportunity to perform their solo pieces at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row on 42nd Street, NYC.
