MENACE?! Written and Performed by B. A-Finisher (Benny Akinyemi-Finisher) is a one person multi-dimensional play which narrates real-life events of gender-based violence as it affects both sexes through introspection of the root causes of this violence which causes life-long trauma, shame and stigmatisation. A unique perspective of men as victims of violence is also interwoven into the play.
After its debut in Lagos, Nigeria in the month of August 2022, the British Council partnered with the producer to have the play staged to mark the United Nations 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, November/December 2023.
