While mainly a piece about mortality, mental and physical decline, this play would interest a variety of audiences from early adulthood to middle age and seniors. This real-life based story follows an individual’s path to live physically, sensitively and vibrantly in spite of Time’s natural diminishment of faculties. Paolino spits in the face of inevitable decline by highlighting the more significant moments and memories from the past and from recent present that verify the intensity of living a full life, even well into senior status, into each remaining day. Despite a diagnosis of Early Alzheimer’s, Paolino is determined to mine the humor of his various medical procedures and to reach out to young and elder alike. Spinning the positive and revelations from each physical loss, he pushes on to present some of Life’s toughest choices as experiences to either savor or mock–or both. His career as actor, director, theatre professor, playwright… and his life as a Human, Son, Husband, Grandfather, Father, Brother, Friend–all come into play as he weaves threads and strands of experiences into palpable events that can hopefully reach the hearts and minds of an audience, all of whom may eventually face some of the same crises and choices.
