Fresh out of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts comes a unique theatrical experience where Shakespeare meets Stand-up Comedy. Lauded as a funny, thought-provoking piece worthy of the Royal Shakespeare Company, To Whom Should I Complain chronicles the journey of Isabella from Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, as she stumbles upon a comedy club, desperately searching for a way to work through the traumatic and confounding events that just occurred. And though therapists worldwide may disapprove, the open mic offers her a lifeline. The line between Isabella and the performer gets blurred as both are forced to wrestle with their suddenly shifting relationship with a religion that forms the framework of their world. This play is a fun, earnest, heart-wrenching exploration of hypocrisy, moral identity, and religious indoctrination, written for “every woman who has ever felt formed by a system that was created to judge them and demean their worth.” You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll finally answer the age-old question, “What is Catholic Familyland?”.
