Donna created this piece over a four year period in the early 1990’s. The Theodore Roosevelt Park brought the story to life 30 years later the past 2 summers at a festival in North Dakota. It has since been performed in several venues in (mostly northern) Maine. While exploring her ancestral roots, she also wanted to explore our connection to nature that her great grandfather was known for. Sharing this rich slice of American history shows also the importance of deep friendships, even and especially unlikely ones. She is honored to share her ancestors story, as well as the interweaving of Theodore Roosevelt throughout their life, a story of hardships, loyalty, love and honor. And she is super grateful to be bringing it to New York City!
