Enter the glamorous glittering world of Project Runway’s Austin Scarlett as the artist, couture designer and television personality reveals all in an evening of fashion, fantasy, storytelling and song. Join Austin as he pulls back his silken curtain, sharing secrets, dreams, happiness and heartache from the runway and beyond. Making his cabaret stage debut, Scarlett swoons, croons and twirls his way though a dizzying array of costume changes, interpreting a personally curated songbook of glamorous jazz standards, vintage vinyl and a few special surprises. The roles of designer, model, muse, and chanteuse interweave in a show that celebrates creativity, self expression and the empowering force of style. Directed by multidisciplinary artist, educator and fashion icon Dusty Childers (Joe’s Pub, LaMaMa, Edinburgh Fringe). Musical direction and piano by downtown cabaret favorite fixture, Paul Leschen (Amber Martin, Scissor Sisters). Scenic design by Chris Fields of the Mint Theater.
