In her new one-woman musical play, Rosemary Loar, author of two previous musicals, including Water From The Moon and Spoolie Girl, spins a compelling tale of family responsibility. Rosemary and her sister, Teri, go to help clear out her sister Maureen’s home after her sudden death. Along with a hasty memorial filled with fireworks and food, there are days of chaotic, crazy cleanup when Rosemary and Teri discover something they could never have imagined.
Expect sing-alongs with “out-of-the-box” music written by Rosemary and dancing: hip-hop and salsa. Emily Mikesell will join Rosemary on violin and backup vocals, and Frank Ponzio will be the musical director and pianist. Barry Kleinbort is the dramaturg and director. Stage management, lighting, and projection design will be handled by her longtime collaborator, Bruce Alan Johnson. Antoinette DiPietropolo will supply the choreography.
